Phenomena modelled
Attention online
Feeds, followers and conversation, seeded from an X profile.
Classic models re-read as social media: attention as a scarce resource, timelines that sort themselves, memes that wear out.

Social dynamicsThe Attention Lottery
Can ranking manufacture a star when everyone starts equal? The same 24 creators post into two feeds that share every schedule and random draw. The left feed picks among eligible posts with equal odds; the right weights each creator by the views it already has.
Social dynamicsReach or Relationships?
What does your posting budget build: a wide audience or a circle that comes back? You sit at the center of 48 people. Each action is either a broadcast that about 12 of them see or a reply that strengthens one tie, and ties fade without contact. The run covers 28 simulated days.
NetworksYour X Ego Village
Does posting raise only your status, or does it set off talk across the village?A synthetic village of 40 people around you, with roles drawn from your X reply, repost and quote shares. Your posts start bursts of talk that spread along ties, and talking raises status.
NetworksYour X Meme Fatigue
How far does a meme spread on a sparse network when both the audience and the poster can burn out?A meme spreads from you over a sparse random contact network. People who recover may become fatigued and immune for the rest of the week, and so may you, which ends your reposting.
Social dynamicsYour X Timeline Schelling
How mild can a preference for like neighbors be and still split the timeline into conversational and broadcast blocks?Schelling's segregation model on a timeline grid: conversational and broadcast slots move when under about 42% of their neighbors are like them. The grid sorts into blocks in about 15 ticks.
Social dynamicsYour X Forest
In a crowd built from your audience mix, how many of your posts get amplified? You are a star among 100 people whose roles (replyer, amplifier, quoter, lurker) follow your X mix. Your posts give off a signal; people nearby notice it, and some amplify it.
Social dynamicsYour X Posting Fireflies
Can local nudges pull clocks with different periods into one flashing rhythm?Fireflies flash on personal clocks of 6 to 8 hours set from your posting rate, and a flash nudges nearby clocks forward. The coupling adds partial synchrony, not a single shared beat.
Social dynamicsYour X Attention Slime
Can your posting rhythm keep a trail alive, or does attention evaporate before anyone follows?Slime-mold style trails on a torus: you drop attention on your patch when you post, it diffuses and evaporates, and 80 foragers follow the gradient and top up trails that are already strong.
Social dynamicsYour X Clone Swarm
If a swarm posted with your habits, would it hold more attention than ambient noise?Copies of you, posting at your rate and peak hour, compete with noise accounts for an hourly attention budget that is split in proportion to the attention each already holds.
Social dynamicsYour X Termite Threads
Can builders stack conversation chips into piles faster than the chips decay?Termite-style builders move conversation chips around a torus while every chip decays, and you add new chips when you post. In every preset the chips decay faster than piles can form.
