In a crowd built from your audience mix, how many of your posts get amplified? Your star turns white while posting; its signal decays between posts.
Try this Choose Broadcast forest (posts-per-day 4, reply-share 8, mostly lurkers and amplifiers). You post only 9 to 13 times, energy never runs out, and heard-count ends between about 15 and 50.
About this model Where it ends up The run stops after 168 ticks, one simulated week. Compare heard-count with posts-count: at the defaults you post 17 times, the energy cap, and are amplified about 80 to 120 times.
A MathPets model of being heard in a crowd shaped like your audience. Connecting X (read-only) sets the sliders from your profile's aggregate numbers: posting rate, peak hour, night share, reply, repost and quote mix, engagement and audience size. Everyone else is an archetype drawn from that mix, never from post text or a real follower graph. The run lasts one simulated week.
Each tick is an hour. You wander and post with a chance that peaks at peak-hour and drops by night-share before 6 a.m.; a post sets your signal to 4 + engagement-power/8, and it decays by 18% an hour. A person within sense-radius of you notices a signal above 0.4, with a chance that grows with the signal and with their role (amplifiers most, lurkers least). Each hour a noticing person turns amplifier with probability 12 + engagement-power/4 percent, adding 1 to heard-count, and otherwise drifts back to dark 20% of the time. Replyers anywhere on the board turn toward you while your signal is above 0.5.
Posting also costs 6 energy, which regrows at 0.4 an hour, and you can't post below 8. That caps you at about 17 posts a week: above about 6 posts-per-day, the energy limit, not the slider, sets how often you post. People are colored by state, not by role.
