Browser-local work
Models you create or remix in the studio, course progress, interface preferences, and pinned simulation seeds are stored in your browser. They are not uploaded to a MathPets account.
Connected X data
Connecting X is optional. MathPets requests read-only access to your profile and posts, plus offline access so you do not have to reconnect whenever a short-lived access token expires. MathPets cannot post, like, follow, send messages, or change your X account.
When you choose “Use my X activity,” the server reads your public profile metrics and up to 100 recent posts. It immediately derives aggregate timing, post-type, and public engagement statistics. Post text and post IDs are not returned to the browser or retained in the aggregate cache.
OAuth credentials are stored only in encrypted, HttpOnly cookies. Aggregate model inputs are encrypted and cached for 15 minutes to avoid repeated API requests. Disconnecting X asks X to revoke the connection and clears MathPets' X cookies.
Hosting and diagnostics
The hosting provider may process standard request information such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and error logs to deliver and protect the service. MathPets does not sell personal data or use connected X data for advertising or model training.
Your choices
You can use every ordinary MathPets model without connecting X. You can disconnect from the header account menu, revoke access from X's connected-app settings, and clear browser storage at any time.
