Wolf Sheep Predation

Open in VS Code

Wolf Sheep Predation sits between the older Lotka-Volterra predator-prey story and the NetLogo ecosystem teaching models. Instead of solving population equations directly, it lets many individual animals eat, reproduce, and die.

Sheep and wolves are separate pet breeds with energy budgets, random movement, reproduction chances, and same-patch predation. In the grass mode, patches become a renewable resource with a regrowth countdown, so sheep convert grass into energy and wolves convert sheep into energy. The population curves come from those individual encounters.
