Flocking descends from Craig Reynolds' Boids work from the 1980s, where bird-like group motion emerges from three local steering pressures instead of a leader or global formation plan.

Each flocker looks within a vision radius on a torus. If another flocker is too close it turns away for separation; otherwise it turns toward the average heading for alignment and toward the local center of mass for cohesion, then moves forward. The sliders expose how much each local pressure can steer in a single tick.
